3d Point Cloud Modelling

Below are two examples of how drones and photographs can be combined to allow detailed roof surveys to be carried out without ever having to directly access the roof to take measurements.

The technique is known as Photogrammetryt to construct a Point Cloud Model using sophisticated software that organises and extracts dimensions from a set of photographs that allows a detailed photo-realistic model to be constructed, measured and viewed from any angle.

The examples below used 250 overlapping photographs from two drone flights (125 photos per flight) at set heights 10 metres apart.

That means no ladders, no MEWPS and no cranes. Just photographs from a drone operated from the ground, safely, quickly and efficiently
